Blogger Bash- Sweet Suite Event

For the past five years I’ve been working an event called the Sweet Suite event, as well as at its host conference, Blogger Bash. I’ve assisted in organizing the events, as well as the layout of the space and sponsors. I have communication experience through social media, served food and alcohol, and generally have been hands on in most aspects of running Sweet Suite, including on camera appearances with sponsors and the videographer and doing interviews. I find each and every aspect of the planning an event exciting and love being part of it. I also find that there is nothing too big—or too small—for me to handle.

The event industry is the business of human emotions. I ask myself, "What will make this event stand out? What can we do to ensure people stay, enjoy, and spread the word?" I simply love the entire experience from start to finish. I love the challenge, the craziness that often ensues at the last minute, the brainstorming to create new and different events, and finally to watch as guests enter an event and enjoy it—having it appear so seamless that they would never guess the work that went into creating it. Of course, it's never truly seamless, but the times when there's a hiccup, I'm just as ready to quickly figure out how to turn any mishap into a solved and happy experience. I can tackle all aspects of this business and that's why I want to be an event planner.

Watching the Blogger Bash grow from the three hour Sweet Suite event in a hotel suite to the two-day convention it is now has been an amazing learning experience for me. Now, the Sweet Suite event is just a three-hour event within this enormous two-day convention and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to grow with it and assist in all aspects.
